The Headmaster cervical support is not the most indicated for cases in which immobilization of the neck is necessary due to moderate sprains, trauma or other cervical injuries.

• Its design allows optimal breathing and swallowing by keeping the trachea and oesophagus free

For the technician:

• Simple placement
• Good access to a trach tube, if needed
• Quick and easy to release velcro

To correctly choose the size of the Headmaster Collar, you must measure in centimetres from the centre of the patient's chin to the midpoint of the maxillary angle.

With this measurement, you could already consult the corresponding size in the table below, taking into account that if your measurement falls between two sizes, the recommendation is to choose the smallest one.

Padding to place between the neck and the back of the Headmaster Collar.

Avoid backward movement of the patient's head.

It is supplied in pairs and its placement is done using the velcro that is incorporated in the pad.

Bend the structure of the cervical support to the desired height.

If necessary, bend the lower rods of the frame to properly fit the patient's chest.

Make sure that the bony part of the jaw rests on the bony part, trying to free all the soft parts.

• Wash with neutral soap by rubbing it with a cloth.
• Dry it well before using it again
• Do not accelerate the drying process with any source of heat.
