Also called Dr Koszla's orthosis, designed as a prophylaxis and treatment of congenital hip dysplasia. Hygienic. Highly tolerant on the part of the baby. Its size corresponds to the abduction width of the baby.
The design of the Correctio has a steel band in the abduction zone that limits the freedom of movement. By bending the medial splint, the degree of abduction can be adapted to the progress of the therapy.
The basic function of the orthosis is to ensure and maintain the hip in abduction and flexion.
The abduction splint is made of a manually moldable steel core, covered by foam and this in turn by a silicon-coated material. The harness is made of artificial leather, with plastic buckles and bronze rivets.
Indications:
- Hip dysplasia.
- Dislocation and subluxation of the hip joint after repositioning.
